I just dislike how it's handled early on. MC is described to have a certain amount of soul and humanity which he loses upon every death. It's just that he dies a lot and it either doesn't affect him or affects him too much. For example he lost 30% humanity after fighting with a demonized enemy, but the only visible negative was that he got negative traits cause he lost 20% soul and revived a few times in a row... And it's the annoying kind where he has 7 vices which activate sometimes and make him irrational...
Idiot. Nearly died because of some stupid shit.
Wow, I'm impressed by this author. He does a very good job of retaining the internal consistency of the story while still throwing in a protagonist that actually affects the plot and lore. Mad props. Almost unheard of for CN fanfics.
