I am currently on chapter 142 and I have to say that I have a very strange response to this book. It is a romance novel but I am never eager for the CP to spend time together because it's very stressful to read. They are too cautious around each other and it leaves you feeling awkward and dissatisfied. The FL is handling the ML and the ML is too cold. Anyway, I will keep reading since I have nothing better to read but I am likely to give it up as soon as I come across something better.
Dropped at 209.
I have picked it up again but I am battling my impatience. You can expect a lot of 'her face was turned down/away so she didn't see his gentle/cold/guilty/frustrated etc look'. There is a lot of missed looks.
I have dropped it again at chapter 976. This time, I know for sure that I won't pick it up again. Honestly, this is one of the worst books I have ever read. I kept hoping for more but I read almost to the end before I realised that I was bound to be disappointed from the very beginning. First, if you expect faceslaps, you are bound to be disappointed. People who deserve to be slapped aren't slapped satisfactorily and those who deserve to die, continue to live. There is also a lot of nonsensical thinking that leaves you wondering why smart people would make such poor decisions. I have too much dissatisfaction with this novel especially because there aren't ups and downs, everything is a bland plateau. Don't expect to be moved by anything and don't expect sex before chapter 976+. Long story short, the novel is not worth reading.
